RobustWealth’s Founder, Mike Kerins, CFA will be speaking as a panelist at the CFA Society, Philadelphia’s FinTech panel on Tuesday, September 26th at Villanova University. This event is open to CFA members and non-members as well as University students. The panel will begin with a formal panel discussion and end with a question and answer session. A reception will follow where the guests have the opportunity to meet with the speakers and ask any additional questions.

The focus for this panel is how FinTech tools have transformed the investment management industry. Topics will include the DOL Fiduciary Rule, opportunities created by tech as well as what additional changes we can expect to see in the coming years.

Michael Kerins, CFA, FRM
Founder & COO, 
Mike Kerins is the Founder of RobustWealth, located in Lambertville, NJ.  RobustWealth’s technology suite was developed by experienced industry experts to help investment advisors optimize their practices. Prior to RobustWealth, Mike spent eight years at Franklin Templeton, where he managed an investment team overseeing a global portfolio of assets equaling $40 billion. He also served as head of asset class research and has expertise spanning strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction, target date strategies and liquid alternatives. Mike is a CFA charter holder as well as a certified Financial Risk Manager. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado and also has a certificate in Computational Finance from the University of Washington. He lives with his wife and three children in Lambertville, NJ.
Mark Friedenthal
Founder and CEO
Mark is the Founder and CEO of Tolerisk. Tolerisk quantifies an investor’s ability to take investment risk by analyzing anticipated cash-flows in and out of their portfolio over time. Their ability is then combined with aquantified willingness (personality) for risk in a scientific manner. The result is a range of numerical stocks/bonds benchmarks that are clear, measurable, and actionable.
Mark is also the president and CIO of Friedenthal Financial, which provides portfolio management and consulting services to individuals, families and businesses nationwide.  Prior to establishing Friedenthal Financial, Mark supervised the management of a $50 billion fixed income portfolio for Citibank from 2005 to 2009.
Mark holds a BBA from Emory University.


J. Womack, CAIA
Head of Investment Strategy
Capital Preferences 
J. heads Investment Strategy & Research at Capital Preferences LTD, driving the ongoing research and quantitative analysis development. He has extensive experience in portfolio management, asset allocation andinvestment strategy, multi-manager and multi-asset-class product development and portfolio construction, risk management, quantitative analysis, and front and middle office systems implementation.
His ability to transform industry and investment insights into marketable products and services has allowed him to lead several successful product and service launches during his career.
J. received his BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, where he was a Presidential Scholar, and his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Fellow. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. J. is committed to helping change the educational and financial trajectories of society’s most vulnerable populations, specifically homeless and at risk-youth.
